Re: Weather = rain
You could send the photo to the editors of "Mad Car Disease" - I don't know if they're planning a third volume. The first two had pics of abandoned cars in all sorts of situations and conditions. I saw one in a photography magazine, with the rambler Dorothy Perkins growing through it. In Tasmania.

Re: Weather = rain
You guys are ahilarious Hi everyone.! We had 100mls of rain too, as we are not far from David and Carol. What a unusual long wet spell. The tank is nearly full which is really good to have finally.
David and Carol, my ride on law mower is going like a champion now and I am getting the place mowed up real nice as its going and cutting bettter than it ever has. It turned out that a neighbour friend's husband use to own a lawn mower bussiness many years ago and he had it fixed the very next day after he took it. He didn't need to buy any parts in, made his own etc. and he used the tyre off my other old ride on that doesn't work at the moment, which I gave to him as part payment.

Bye the way we are expecting more rain today and if we get the 20 to 40 mls they say that will fill you tank right up.

Yes it has been good, got out to have a good look at the roses this afternoon, some are showing some good growth, I think my 1902 peace may even be having a growth spurt! I am still a bit doubtful about whether it will survive though.
Did you get much rain?

About to cop some here too. As if the BS hadn't been bad enough this year.
(It's certainly a good year to pick out the clean roses!)

David
Yep its been here. According to our trusty rain gauge we have had 165 mm since last Sunday. We recieved 36mm in a rain storm this arvo.
I would be too upset if some of you "westerners" would keep just a little bit of it for yourselves.

Re: Weather = rain
What do you mean, it came to me? I got a total of 5.5ml! But better than a slap in the belly with a wet fish.
Lots of powdery mildew around.

Getting lots of rain here in Brissy, as long as we don't have a repeat of floods or we will get smacked with a wet fish.. or two

Margaret
The storm today missed us. The thunderstorms that come through our way mostly split into two on the hils behind us with one bit heading over to Caloundra and the other over Palmwoods/Nambour. Very rarely do we actually get hit by a bad storm.
Tamara did the storm hit you?

Re: Weather = rain
More rain today. That puts a end to mowing and working in the garden today. Yesterday I started finding my new tea garden hidden amongst the longest grass.
My new roses have grown really well, so I sure can't complain.

Re: Weather = rain
Hi got stuck in Gympie with the flooding last night with the Bruce Highway being cut at 4pm. Got home today by going inland up through the range, it was really strange it hadn't rained since sat morning but there was so much water everywhere that we were unable to get out til lunchtime

400mm in a few hours in the headwaters of the Mary River will do it everytime.
We missed the bulk of the rain but we still got enough.
