Re: FEW MORE ROSES IN SPRING
Jordan, Your Pics are lovely, I have OLD BLUSH & ROSERAIE DE L'HAY, and have always thought of planting ZEPHRINE DROUHIN, it is such a Classic. I will never have enough space in my garden to plant everything I would like, so I will have to find a neighbours garden to plant up I think, and around where I live that would not be hard to find.
Keep taking these lovely Pics you are giving me food for thought...

Re: FEW MORE ROSES IN SPRING
Just gorgeous Jordan and Autumn. I'm so jealous because I haven't got any open yet. Jordan I really like the foliage of Roserie, fresh looking and sort of textured. Nearly bought one last year.
Autumn I have Duet too, really like it, she's a tough ol gal, lots of buds so far.

Re: FEW MORE ROSES IN SPRING
Beautiful assortment, everyone. Thank you! Rosarie has always been in my peripheral vision, but I never quite get to the Buy stage.
And ah! I see Mme Al, one of my absolute joys. Love all those noisettes to pieces, and she's my sentimental favourite. My first rose. Yes, and I thought, boy, what is all the moaning and groaning about? This rose-growing business is a snap!
Then I started on HTs, including the exquisite disease magnet Angel Face, and joined everyone else in the rosy Slough of Despond.

Re: FEW MORE ROSES IN SPRING
Wendy, Do put your Roses in the AG Show if you have them ready, just entering would be a Buzz, . Beautiful Pics.
The Old Fashioned are my favourites. I will have to see what I have out today and put some Pics on later.
Betsy, I have Angel Face and she is flowering wonderfully at the moment but it is my first year with her so I will be interested to see how she performs re disease, no rain as yet though. And I have heard she can be a problem child.
Enjoy your Week..

Re: FEW MORE ROSES IN SPRING
Yes, I'll put them in if they're ready - have to support the local show! Our show is a little early in the season for roses so it can be a bit hit and miss in regards to numbers. Need to do "my bit".
I'm not a "rose show-er" like Neptune and Ausrose though. :)I'm not dedicated enough!!
It's kinda funny how roses behave differently - my Angel Face isn't too bad. My Bonica..? Complete defoliation every year. At least it still carries the flowers (ends up looking like a japonica )

Re: FEW MORE ROSES IN SPRING
I know I really am terrible but I just can't go past the Soft, Old Fashioned, Romantic Style of Roses, I do try though. Too much reading Jane Austin & the Like as a child I think. But they do look lovely in the vase & the perfumes are just wonderful. Though my house smells of Sweet Peas today as I picked 2 big bunches yesterday.

Re: FEW MORE ROSES IN SPRING
If you were here I would fill your arms with Sweet Peas. I kind of overplanted. I am happy with my display as I have some very pretty Mauves and Purples in there. I buy straight colours some Old Fashioned, not mixed seeds as I like to know what colours I can use in the house as the more you pick them, the more they flower.

It is Betsy, I just wish some one could definitely decide on the the true identity of each one, so many roses have "some" dubious background to them, I guess one day we might know.

Kim Rupert, normally found at gardenweb USA, is also a member here, yes? Mr Rubert seems a go-to guy for everything regarding roses, and that includes provenance and identification. He sorted out the tangle of confusion about Frances Dubreuil and Barcelona, as I recall.

Hi Jordan, Love your Roses. I have MME GREGOIRE STACHELIN and has buds and just about to flower.
DELICATA really does look like the name suggests Delicate, is she easy to grow.
Happy Gardening...
