Re: Lots of Roses
Oh Jordan ...... Bunnings!!! It's still a pretty rose, but it's not in the right spot and I don't know how tall it will grow, it's at the back of the rose bed, in front of the wall. Oh well, I guess I'll have to wait to see if anyone else can name it for me.
Actually, I have several which I "inherited" when I moved in, which I shall be picking everybody's brains about soon!

Re: Lots of Roses
Just beautiful selection there Dan. Madame Isaac a standout for me. How are you finding Munstead? I'm loving mine even more this year, so many flowers. So much better than Ebb Tide IMO but I'm being patient with that one.

Re: Lots of Roses
thanks silky,
Madame Isaac is beautiful in my opinion and has better flowers in autumn.
as for munstead wood , just brilliant imo.. yeah ebb tide hasn't performed very well so far for me as oppose to last season . still say the perfume is better on ebb tide if you compare it to munstead wood

Re: Lots of Roses
Ebb Tide's perfume doesn't do much for me I'm afraid. Can only smell it if I get right low and its just so so for me. Munstead is like a jewel, colour stands out and I find the perfume varies according to time of day, some days not much, some days stronger.

Re: Lots of Roses
silky, I love yellow roses, not as much as the purples and deep red , but Soulmate is a very healthy beautiful rose that's stands out for me in health wise not to mention the beautiful perfume that wafts in the air .. love this rose , its only in its first season for me this year but so far very impressivesilkyfizz wrote:No Dan, I haven't. Re: Lots of Roses
I agree Dan with your comments about Soul Mate/Julia Child. IMO it will take a couple of seasons to establish it's self. I do believe it won't be a big bush either, compact is what I would cal it.

Re: Lots of Roses
Well that resolution didn't last long!
All your fault Dan! Have worked out where Soul Mate could go I think. In front of Gold Bunny and Victoria Gold if I edge that bed out a bit. Almost next to Munstead. Not sure if it would blend though. Bunny and VG are both bright yellow although VG flowers pale as they age. SM looks a more mellow yellow. Bearing in mind that I'm a bit obsessive about colour, what do you think?

Re: Lots of Roses
Not to sidetrack at any point in time, but place a rose in front of a lady and they tend to be subdued, sorry ladies
