Re: Lots of Roses
Just wonderful Dan. Your flowers are sumptuous, I can almost smell the perfume. Your photography skills are pretty damn good too. That Monsieur Tillier is perfection. I also love LD Braithwaite, its colour and form are so, so, so ....lost for words Lol.

Reversion does happen. A darker colour could be a result of fertilizing etc.

Re: Lots of Roses
Gary might be right Dan, but you might have a rose which "could" reverted back ?

Re: Lots of Roses
Dan, Your Roses are so beautiful, I will have to get the camera out and take some really good photos. Your Angel Face is beautiful, I am very happy with mine. Just love Gertrude Jekyll, I have her as well, she is a good size but yet to flower, is she a little particular do you know??
Keep showing us your beautiful Roses as they flower.

Re: Lots of Roses
Your photos are just gorgeous Jordan. I love Munstead Wood. I was so happy to see a photo of Mary Rose. I planted one this last July and am waiting patiently for her to flower! Thank you!

Re: Lots of Roses
I love your 'James Mitchell' Rose, Dan. Is it a Moss Rose and if so where do you keep it and how long have you been growing it. I am interested as I hope to get a few Moss Roses next year to plant in a lightly shaded spot. Does anyone else grow Moss Roses. I think I will start a Topic on them if one is not on the go already.

Re: Lots of Roses
Jordan thanks for giving us more of your lovely blooms. I love Munstead Wood too. Mine has lots of buds but none open yet. I'm very impressed with it, love the garnet colour and the perfume. Your Rugosa Alba looks gorgeous. I saw it in a nursery a few days ago, took a sniff and Wow! loved it. I'm not a great one for single flowers usually but have to say I was charmed. Just lovely.

Re: Lots of Roses
True Dan, but I'm a bit scared of discovering a fondness for these singles. Don't want to go there, this rose thing is bad enough as it is. Lol

Re: Lots of Roses
Dan, you are an artist, to grow such beautiful Roses, I feel so envious. Why is my 'Shocking Blue' not the colour of yours I wonder. I have 3 of them hope I have the right bushes as that is what I ordered.
I am reading a book at the moment 'For the Love of A Rose' it is about the creation of the 'Peace' Rose & how the Family's Meillands & Paolinos became thus united through marriage. 'FRANCIS DUBRIEL' features prominently in this story. Well worth the read. The book was first published in 1965. Written by Antonia Ridge.
Sorry back to the subject of your Roses, Your, BELLE POITEVINE & TEA CLIPPER, I have and I love them and
KAZANLIK & SWEET JULIET well they are just beautiful as are all your Roses......
