Re: Eyes For You
Hey Rosy, don't forget that photo of your EFY in its pot. Lol

Re: Eyes For You
At Bunnings today and couldn't resist getting EFY. It's just a little thing, cost $18, but I'm happy I got it. Bought a nice fibroglass-type pot that is quite light so should be easier to move around. EFY is now snuggled into its new home, nice and cosy.

Re: Eyes For You
Make sure it's a big pot silky! Will get a photo soon been running around moving things for our new patio. My second EFY is now in the ground and doing well. It gets a nice amount of sun, rain and shade so hoping it does well there.

Re: Eyes For You
Silky, how big is your pot? Can you take a photo too? (Not letting you off the hook, though, Rosey ;-) )

Re: Eyes For You
Silky wait for it to bust out haha. Mine was a spindly little twig thing from Treloars. It was so skinny I actually didn't think it would make it and then all of a sudden it shot up! I do think most people won't be happy with the flowers but it is much better in Winter when the rain and heat stops. It keeps the purple tinge much longer and doesn't lose its petals as easily. It's either one of the other here - 40 degree heat or cyclones. So the petals are very dainty but I still love them. They're like no other rose I have. Also the scent, I have no other rose that smells like this.

Re: Eyes For You
Yes Rosy, I remember when you wrote about getting it and how it was just a twig. That's one of the reasons why I ended up getting it, after umming and ahhing. I've got it in a partly shady spot, but then moved it to a sunnier spot, but then it got blazing hot, so moved it back. Like a bloody mother hen!! Lol

Re: Eyes For You
You could only try Maree. Even if you try it in a pot first. Mine only gets sun through the shade cloth.

Re: Eyes For You
As promised photos of my EFY. I planted this last August in a small pot and then moved it to a larger one. The pot is much larger than it looks in the photo. Bare in mind I have cut this back twice because when we went away on holidays it was not watered and almost died .. Whoops.

Re: Eyes For You
Rosie have you managed to grab "Rose Peony" yet? Would love to find someone who already has it growing, it looks like another must-have for those of us who love the dainty roses...
