I always love looking at your roses Dan. All lovely but Pat Austin always seems to call to me, maybe it's that rich colour. You have so many out already, I'm just a teeny bit jealous Lol

Sorry, forgot to complement you on your terrific roses Dan.  I'm really taken with Candlelight and Rosette Delizy.  You have some lovely roses, ones I've never seen before!  Where do you get them all from?

I wonder if the difference between your colour and Dans, the "unknown factor" soils, fertilizer, sun/shade, Doug.

Could anyone of those things or a combination of them or perhaps it could be the photograph not being true to colour as I know the one I put up is true to colour of my bush. Perhaps Jordan could comment.

I was surprised to read Candlelight is classified as a Hybrid Tea in Modern Roses. It will be very hard to place in a rose society show in NSW as it has the characteristics of a shrub rose.

Now to you experts, this is going to seem a silly question! What is the difference between a "bush" rose and a "shrub" rose? Size?

Ah Ha! I espy a thorn on your Z. Drouhin! I thought and was told, they are thornless. Last Autumn, we had a discussion on this and Bunnings selling them. I bought one - full of thorns - just to see if it really was Z. D! Still waiting for the first flower to come out. So, am I wrong with this thought? Sorry - Hijack
