If anyone has a plant of 'Goldfinch' (see: [You must be registered and logged in to see this link.] I'd love to hear from you. Mistydowns doe have it but if I can help it I'd rather find a different source.

I don't grow it but can get cuttings. Which time of year would you prefer?

I have its offspring, Ghislaine (pronounced Hilaine) de Feligonde, 1916, which repeats well. Nice story; she was the wife of a Belgian count, and in WW1 she was told that he was lying wounded in no-man's-land, and his fellow-soldiers couldn't reach him. So she went out at night (presumably with help), found him, brought him home and nursed him back to health.

Hi Margaret... any time would be great (I have a REALLY special plant I want to send you too in spring when it has grown a bit... REALLY special Smile )... I've read that story too and was very disappointed when I also read that it wasn't true... See Jocelen Janon's article on it here: [You must be registered and logged in to see this link.] . It is such a beautiful rose and the story was quite touching... and then they debunked it... almost wish they had of let things be on this one Smile

I'm PM you with some details.
