Tamora x Queen Elizabeth

This is one of last years seedlings - another "Aussie Austin". Looks like a good one in every way - but still has a long way to go. No BS - yet. Floriferous-bloomed all winter in the greenhouse. This specimen been in the vase for 3 days and is holding its own. I love roses that look better the longer they live (unlike most HTs that look best in bud or half open, then collapse:) The parchment -tinged pink- frilly petals and brown stamens are very pretty, with a sweet perfume. Very pretty Dave. It reminds me a little of Margaret Merrill the way it opens up and shows it's stamens but yours has more petals I think. Also the pink touch puts it ahead of that gal too.

white flowers are always looking good , I hope that yout plant will stay healthy.

I bred one from 'New Dawn' that has also a wonderful flower but has been affected by BS badly

when will the 1st seedlings of this year start to bloom over there ? If there are 6 month between us, it must happen soon.

Tiny buds just starting to form, Bernhard. You know how long they take!

Had a few seedlings from this cross, but this one is the best. Good for picking with strong stems. Very prolific. Light tea scent. Should be OK for budwood later in the year if anyone is interested.

It's a lovely soft colour Dave. How's the rest of the plant? Has it inherited QE's size?

Thanks. I meant to say before that the colour in the photo is pretty accurate. In the vase it fades a bit with age (like me LOL). It's growing heavenwards like QE but still has a long way to go to catch up to mum. BTW my Tamora is getting smaller each year. Grew to a maximum of about 60 cm, now is half that.
