Re: TAMORA AND PEACH BLOSSOM
Good to see Tamora again. I had her many years ago, and she was a sweetie. Her myrrh (sp?) scent was unappealing on its own, but when she joined sweet roses like Aotearoa in a bouquet, the perfume blend was sensationally interesting. She was popular back in the 1990s, then seemed to disappear. I don't think she made David Austin's personal cut in his revisionist mode ;-)

Re: TAMORA AND PEACH BLOSSOM
My Tamora was the first to bloom and has not stopped since, the blooms just keep coming. With regards to scent, it’s very dependent on temperature and fluctuates with it.
In winter I unmistakably got JOY perfume, just like a whiff straight from the bottle when the flowers first opened and as they opened further also a Lou Lou perfume match mixed with it. There’s no doubt in my mind, as I’ve loved to use both theses fragrances for many years and recognize their scent combinations anywhere.
JOY is primarily a combination of jasmine and rose, but also contains Ylang ylang, Michelia and Tuberose; and Lou Lou is classified as an oriental fragrance, comprising a blend of spices and flowers, with notes of amber.
In the much hotter Brisbane spring sun, I mainly get myrrh, which I agree, Betsy, can be a bit stark on its own. But the blooms remain gorgeous and whilst they appear a lot lighter in the heat of the day, they don’t bleach nearly as much as some commentators suggested. They stay orange; I’m just getting a softer pastel shade. And yes, Jordan, my Tamora is also very healthy; I’m extremely happy with her.

Re: TAMORA AND PEACH BLOSSOM
I have a lot of time for this rose, Jordan.
Hope you don’t mind my showing off what she looks like in my garden four months after being planted bare-rooted on your link.
