Re: All this Winter
Thanks Berhard... it's a lovely rose... if it gets bad BS though it would suffer very badly here in the black spot capital of the world Does yours repeat flower? I thought it was only once flowering. It certainly is lovely though and an important historical rose... I almost want it as much for this reason as anything you know.

I think peace will be replanted in the compost corner
another more friendly appearance 'Abraham Darby' blooms. Can you imagine the hole huge shrub ?
[You must be registered and logged in to see this image.]
it's just a cutting .I belief the flower is bigger than the plant

the rose in not potted, it looks so, because there stays pot between. Left from the rose is growing a Campanula, an the other side a huge Delphinium.
Re: All this Winter

What is the large shrub covered in white blossom next to your arch?
Im starting to wish for spring a little early this year.

Re: All this Winter
Thanks from me too, Bemo. it's been a real pleasure to see your lovely garden and your beautiful roses. We in Oz are being starved of roses in our Winter!
Re: All this Winter
Hi Rosefreaks,
it's not all as in every year, the first blooms of 'Ghislaine de Féligonde' and others fade very soon to a pale white ( that is possibly caused by the very hot 'pre spring' in this year, please look at the right down corner:
[You must be registered and logged in to see this image.]
Brother Cadfeal looks midlewhile also more white than soft pink
This evening it has begun to rain ,since a long time ago. I must mark this spring in the calendar red.
If anybody is interested, the plant on the right side is 'Aristolochia macrophylla', ideal for shadowing.
regards Bemo
