I saw amazing blooms of Princess Alexandra at the rose show in November and fell in love. How do you find it Jordan? Grande Siecle also looks delish. Is it one of their perfumed ones? Health?

I was looking at PAoK myself. The colour looked bubblegummy in pix, though. Silky, you like it, so it can't be as Barbie pink as Perfume Passion, right?

PAOK its been a slow growing rose for me . its slowely picking up . as far as diseases its doing great to avoid BS or mildew , blooms are lovely and the perfume is great too

grand siecle is one of the finest fragrance delbard has offered well beside chartreuse de parme .. so its growing on me and love the smell

Betsy, I don't like many pinks as you know, especially bubblegum shades. I wouldn't put PAoKin that category at all but I'm finding it hard to describe her. Old fashioned Victoriana type pink but bright and rich, with some depth, warm looking. The blooms I saw (they had quite a large display arrangement) were large and real show stoppers that had lots of people talking. I was very taken by them but have yet to see an actual plant growing to get a true idea. It is described as bushy, rounded growth so its on my list. Thanks Jordan for letting me know health is good. Just have to give it time but it's hard to be patient I know.

On that recommendation and assessment, silky, I'll move PAoK up the list. Don't want another rose the colour of Perfume Passion - I'd actually dump her, but she is an honest rose, with no bs at all, fragrance (bit citrus-y) and vigor

For maree: I put PP in the category of PJPII - winningly bred, , lots to love, but not the scent or the colour I want. You might, though, and I hope you get her a whirl, because this one lives up to swing tag.

Mmmnn, thanks Betsy, PP would probably be good for the front of the house which cops all the bad weather , wind , heat , cold , poor Jubillee Celebration is going there too , only spot available , but i would definately put PP in a pot first and trial her, will do that next year i think ...
