I'll put Route 66 and Maurice Utrillo cuttings in for you over winter but not sure how well they'll do own root. Little Darling isn't in Australia that I know of. Will consult my book to see.

Oh thank you Simon Very Happy

I think you are right about Little Darling, might just be in the USA.

It's frustrating seeing so many lovely roses which aren't available here.

I had Purple Tiger briefly and pulled it out because it was so unhealthy.
What is sold as Louis XIV in Aus and I think elsewhere is usually the HT Nigrette.

Haha Simon Very Happy

And thanks Margaret, I have heard it doesn't do too well.

Do you know if Louis XIV is a good plant?

I'll take Tradescent and Route 66 over Ebb Tide any day . Not impressed with that as a plant at all ; it's a manky snirp of a thing here and will get pulled out and moved to a less prominent part of the garden if it doesn't lift it's game
The other two get less attention and grow and flower better .

Falstaff is another nice rich reddy purple Tish and so far it seems healthier and a stronger grower than Fisherman's Friend. One that I had but lost due to sunburnt trunk was Munstead Wood and it's one that I will be replacing . I called it my 3M Rose [marvellous - moody - mysterious] and I was heartbroken to lose it.

Happy Rose shopping ---- it's highly addictive . Laughing

cheers. Oz

I haven't grown Nigrette/ Louis XIV myself, but I think it's a small grower.

I was very disappointed with Ebb Tide's flowers in the QLD heat .. They just shrivel up and die. Mine didn't even last a day. Waiting for the next lot of flowers to come through.

I have Falstaff, it is an amazing plant!

Haha yes thanks! I have about 35 now. I know it's not as many as you all but that's not too bad for just starting out. It is way too addictive hehe.

'Route 66' will also burn to a crisp up there. It does here!

I have Route 66 in partial afternoon shade, where it doesn't burn to a crisp but doesn't flower much either. It's on borrowed time.

I might scrap it then Meryl. I haven't heard good things about it which is a shame.
