"Charles de Gaulle" is one of my favourite Mauves/purples. I have 14 (2 rose of 7). Mine are so far, a very tidy bush with plenty of foliage and blooms. Although the blooms are nodding their heads a bit too much for my liking, but that plants are only in their first year.... Smile

There's also Charles de Mills in the purples, but I don't think you meant that one. A website that will give you a lot of fun looking things up is [You must be registered and logged in to see this link.]

I budded Charles de Gaulle last April just prior to my 15 year old plant dying.

I'll wait until the dead of winter here and then grab your postal address to send it on up. It will be very asleep and so hopefully won't be shocked so much by going to sunny qld Wink

I've had her two years and I think she resents Tassie winters (too many nights to -5 to -7 and my chooks tend to give her too much attention too)... I've got a few China cuttings in that will be looking for a more permanent home so I thought I'd give her a chance at thawing out some and passing her onto someone else. She's a lovely rose but just not happy here. She needs some tlc and I'm guessing you are just the person to give it to her Smile
