Awesome Foliage Empty Awesome Foliage

Having a peruse of my roses and I must say, I am quite chuffed with how they are going at the minute, compared with previous seasons. My backyard lot have filled out really well as seen in the 1st photo, and to think that only 6 weeks ago they had a good pruning.

Now to my enjoyment, my RSL rose which really struggled last season is going gang busters. I have never seen foliage on a rose with such an intense full gloss, the photos give some idea but really doesn't catch the brilliance of the glossiness. Truly Awesome

Yes "looking good" as Danny has said, the hard yards are paying off. Don't sit on your laurels though Paul, the first flush is good and you will have to keep an eye on them.

If you are able to keep the nasties at bay you are definitely going to have a bumper season.

All the new growth in Spring looks fantastic. Other breeders and myself are aiming to breed roses so clean they will look like this all Spring, Summer and Autumn.
Just dreaming again.

Thanks dimity. No secrets, bet best thing I have done was joining this forum, expressing my problems and being open to peoples advice. I have propbably driven people nuts, but everyone have been gracious to me. The biggest one thing I have learnt, in my case I was over fertilising, which was causing my plants to do poorly

Thanks dannyboy. I did get a blue river and went for some others. The blue river was the last one available and wasa fairly poor specimum. Normaly I would have passed, but the sold it to me for $5, must say it has kicked off well and even has a bud. O thonk we all thought it was a lost cause.
