Foliage colour change as the seasons progress
Its an interesting thing, when you see roses with a full spring flush of new growth, which may eventually change colour and leaf shape, as the season progresses. This is a rose I bred years ago which does exactly that. Looking at the spring foliage you would not think it was the same rose. Below are a group of photographs showing this transition of change.

Re: Foliage colour change as the seasons progress
Thank you for sharing those photos- I am loving the burgundy new growth on the roses I planted a month or so ago. I hope the cold snap we are experiencing in Melbourne doesn't do too much damage!

I know it is not 'crook' but the the early Summer growth looks ordinary. Unbelevieble difference in colour.

Re: Foliage colour change as the seasons progress
From when I first posted this on the 6th of September , 17 days ago the foliage has changed to its summer foliage shape already, leaf length will still continue to get longer and narrower.
