Tassie Teas
The first roses almost out for the season are the Teas:
'Indica Major'

'Monsieur Tillier'

'Marie Van Houtte'

'Lady Huntingfield' (HT but grows like a Tea for me)
[You must be registered and logged in to see this image.]
'Comtesse de Labarthe'
[You must be registered and logged in to see this image.]
"Adam" (note double quotes)
[You must be registered and logged in to see this image.]
'Safrano'

Lots of others on their way... black spot is becoming a problem among the Teas.

Re: Tassie Teas
Blackspot on your teas surprises me. We get very little up our way (some but not a problem) and even when the DAs used to be covered with it they stayed relativly clean.
I am not saying they are completly clean of it but it not a real problem.

Even our black spot gets black spot Gary.. nothing surprises me down here
On the other hand check out my DA 'Heritage', taken today in a no-spray garden. It's in its third year here and looks amazing:

So far it leaves the Teas for dead health-wise, except for 'Monsieur Tillier', which is by far the best of the Teas here. It's been a cold, long, wet, winter here so I'm not surprised they have developed disease symtoms.
Note the tree in the background is my Dwarf Mulberry Tree.. only just now leafing up.

Re: Tassie Teas
Actually after all the rain and the warm weather that we have had our roses are quite clean. I think the rain has washed away the spores at the right time (touch wood).
I gave up any ideas of growing DAs after visiting Susan Irvines place down your way and saw her Heritages. Clearly they are cold weather roses whereas the teas like a it a bit warmer.
