Can anyone help with a list of red teas and chinas and any other older varieties such as the Alister Clarks that could be grown on the Darling Downs? We seem to have a preponderance of pinks and apricots and whites when we do a heritage rose display. Our next display on 8 and 9 October is entitled: Roses are red - vases are blue! We will have Blackboy, Cramoise Superieur, Bloomfield Courage, General Gallieni, Roger Lambelin to use in the display.

Have you got Slater's Crimson China? I have a few spare plants I could send you for the cost of postage alone.

Bonita the ones that I know off hand and have grown at one time or another.

Teas
Beales Monsieur Tillier, Francis Dubrieul, Papa Gontier which is a sort of pinky red, Hugo Roller which is a red, deep pink, white blend.

China

Theirs only one more I can think of and it's generallly a pretty weak plant - Louis xiv which if it grows for you has a magnificent perfimed flower.

Alister Clark

Restless,Mrs Albert Nash

I probably have pics of these around somewhere if you're interested in having a look

Forgot another Tea - Souv de Therese Levet.

You may have to scout around for all these buggers. Used to get all mine from Golden vale Nursery in Vic. but they've now closed down which is a real shame
