I think they must give you ones that they have extras for.
I got "le petit chou" last year... I still have it, as its kinda cute, cabbagey and fairly healthy. Sadly no smell tho:(

As for the Icebergs in our garden they will be moved so all the news can go in
Wendy that would be good if they did go along the same lines as you purchase

Here ya go, David.

As for the bonus rose , it's probably too labour-intensive, and tricky, too, for the Treloars packers to go through each individual order, and divine the customer's intent.
What would be useful is a list of general preferences on the order form: tick the Bonus Rose box that says HT, or Floribunda, or Modern Shrub or Fragrant or OGR. Something like that

Thanks Betsy. I like the idea of ticking the box.

It won't happen it's too labor intensive.

You guys all have hard-copy catalogues?! Oh my! Where do I get one of those? I thought it was all done on The Internets.

Whoops sorry Roseman, got the name a bit wrong, but I see someone else has found it. Fuchsia seems a bit too gaudy a way of describing the colour really. Also went and had a look and sadly its looking very skanky; but then again lots of the roses are after summer..
Looked it up at Treloars and it seems it is supposed to smell...maybe next year then.
Still no catalogue today, so went online and requested it. If I get an accidental extra, I can always pass it off to my mother.
Warning muscovy, your want list will grow if you get one...

If you've ordered from them the year before they send you one. Otherwise, go to their website and add yourself to their mailing list.muscovyduckling wrote:You guys all have hard-copy catalogues?! Oh my! Where do I get one of those? I thought it was all done on The Internets.

Curdle, now you have looked at your catalogue.
THOW IT AWAY.
If not your list will keep growing and it will cost you a fortune.

Re: Anyone get their 2014 Treloars cattledog yet?
Well, I went off an added myself to the mailing list. While I was on their website trying to subscribe I accidentally ordered a bunch of roses. Whoops
I was quite proud that i got away from their darned site only $140 poorer. In fairness though, I still have to order a few Teas and Albas and possibly Bourbons that Treloars don't stock, so perhaps I am not doing as well as I thought... Hehe.

Invalid post due to insufficient information. Please comply with forum protocol. For rose orders less than $10,000, you must list all rose names.

Re: Anyone get their 2014 Treloars cattledog yet?
I've finally bit the bullet and decided what roses I am ordering in for the coming season. As you could imagine the list is made up predominately of Australian Bred roses with a few for the show bench.
Thomas Roses
Sharon Louise(Parkes), Tanya Verstak(Ambrust), Tracey Wickham(Welsh), Isn't She Lovely, Louisa Frances and Bridget's Joy.
Ross Roses
Love's Gift (Thomson),Melbourne Town (Chapman) and Dame Nellie Melba (Chapman)

Re: Anyone get their 2014 Treloars cattledog yet?
Melbourne Town looks very pretty Ausrose. Nice to see the Aussies represented here.
Betsy, I put my list in another thread, but I will relist here so that the Post Police don't get me!
I've ordered Cl. Lorraine Lee, Cl. Souv de la Malmaison, Lamarque, Mme. Alfred Carriere, Zephrine Drouhin, Mme Isaac Pereire, Felicia, Aimee Vibert, Archduc Joseph, Marie van Houtte, Anna Olivier, Alba Semi Plena, Munstead Wood and Abraham Darby.
I'm still thinking about adding Felicite Parmentier, Mme Plantier and Moonlight to my order, but perhaps I will wait til next year for those. This is my first rose order, after all. I should try not to get too carried away!
On a side note, I'm very tempted to order a few perennials from Misty Downs - namely some lilacs, and a few others... Hmmm....

Great list, Zoe. Post Police mollified. In any case, they are not particularly good at their job. They moonlight as department store Santas. They are given to drink.

Hahah Betsy, you crack me up! I actually was a Santa photographer at Myer when I was a youngster. Worst. Job. Ever. I'd be given to drink too.

Yes!...I am moonlighting in Cambodia at the moment and have been convinced to try out their local poison. So to dissect a post at the moment is not working to my advantage. therefore I pass all policing duties to my partner in crime......
