Re: Percipitation
Beautiful sunny morning up here. No rain since July but ground is still moist 3 inches down.
Gave up waiting and so we had the sprinkler going and mulching on top of the wet area.

Re: Percipitation
We haven't had a lack of rain in this little area. But it has been basically dry for a couple of weeks and the grass is going ballistic so 20-40ml tomorrow as predicted would be amazingly awesome. (It'll make the weeds easier to pull out too.)
Today has started out beautiful and sunny. Grass is green, birds are twittering..

Re: Percipitation
No rain here either guys since July. I think the Angels must be peeing somewhere else (Perth perhaps), all that wonderful honey from up above, John I hope you are able to store some of it. We were told that we were going to have a thunder storm at 3.00pm yesterday afternoon but it didn't happen. We live in a funny bit of Brissy here it can rain 2klms away and it will just miss us, but when we do get it, it is oh so welcome. We have 3 tanks and they are very low. We are now told it will rain on Tues and Wed, we'll see.
I Hope it Rains on
All of You this week who NEED IT.

Re: Percipitation
Our dams need the water as we are so low and that's why they are building more desalinator plants....as for me...I don't need rain for the gardens as I have bore water..........

Re: Percipitation
The BOM is eternally forecasting rain here, always a 70% chance or a 60% chance or a 90 % chance. Nuthin'. No Thing! I call it weather porn.
Mother Nature doesn't walk the dogs or pay the bills or pick up the drycleaning - at least she could water the garden. Slacker.

Re: Percipitation
Dams have been overflowing since June. Springs overflowing. Water tanks are basically full. Ground was oozing water but steadying up a little now.
It's thought about raining at times over the last week (they had predicted a few showers) but we didn't get anything.

Re: Percipitation
So far we have 1.8mls, just about enough to settle the dust. From Weatherzone it by-passed you Wendy.

Re: Percipitation
We have our usual forecast for torrential rain. Again, nothing, even though the weatherzone radar indicates that downpours are here/imminent. I am going to hang out soem washing in the hopes that it sparks a bit of malice in the rain gods.

Re: Percipitation
Car washed, thanks for the hint, Neptune. Still nothing. Possibly I should paint the house. Maybe host a garden wedding with no marquee.
Wait a minute. I'll walk to the village without an umbrella! Maybe get my hair done, and walk home again! Should bring on torrents.
