Compatability of Grafted Roses.

I'm lookig for information regarding life of HT's grafted on Fortuniana.

I have come to the conclusion compatability is paramount when grafting. We have seen roses grafted on Dr Huey lose vigour after approx 12 years. Multiflora appears to be better in this regard so I'm interested in finding out more about Fortuniana.

Would anyone with 12 plus years old HT's grafted on Fortuniana be kind enough to give me some information regarding vigour or decline of growth with age.

I'm going to trial a few this season hoping to see if it does well in our acid soils. The mother plants (Fortuniana) have been here for around 7 years and are growing very well. I also have an understock bred by Simon Voorwinde with canes hard enough to be used this year.

Upon speaking to Ben Swane a few years back he was having some trouble with Root Rot so I see many reasons to trial Fortuniana here.
