Heat in Melbourne !!!
OMG !!! The hot weather here in Melbourne is just awful , hot , hot , hot and no relief in site at all , i can't remember such continuing hot dry weather for a long time , no cool changes at all , the water bill to keep the garden alive is going to be horrendous , water tanks dried up long ago . Maybe you Queenslanders can send down just a little bit of your rainy weather please !!!!

Awe maree, I know what you mean, here in Perth its been extremely hot, flipping terrible. in a couple of days we are back up to 37, unfortunately March is always a very hot month. So I do sympathize with you.

It is raining everyday here. I love the rain! It's getting really cool early too, much earlier than previous years if I remember correctly.

Re: Heat in Melbourne !!!
Betsy, everyone here just looks exhausted, people dragging themselves around. Hot nights means little/no sleep. Usually we have a cool change to revive but not this summer. Autumn is my favourite season but not so far. I refuse to have air con, because I hate it, but I may revise that...
Some of the roses are just churning out their flowers though.

Re: Heat in Melbourne !!!
Hey, I think fast cars, moble phones and HD tv are wonderful things! What I meant was that say, if I had to give up the airconditioning to get a Lamborghin, it would be NO Deal. Silky, you need some aircon, darlin'
HD Tv is no big deal to me. Is it to anyoone? I am sort of put off now by seeing every pore in an actor's face. Contact lenses are life-changing..
Mobile phone would be very hard to part with. I live on mine. Still, if someone thresatened to take away my beloved dishwasher, I'd hurl the phoen at them.
Um... A rose? Make it two dozen ;-)

Re: Heat in Melbourne !!!
You're not going to believe this, but I have no aircon OR dishwasher (there's only the 2 of us) and I hate mobile phones so hardly use mine. Drives people mad but I don't care. I'm such a luddite!
The porsche just sits in the driveway all day (hahaha NOT). Trusty Toyota x4WD is old but gets me around.
Never been one for material things...I know, weird.

Re: Heat in Melbourne !!!
We re at Wantirna Caravan Park at present and spending the day at the Austin Hospital - going from heat, heat, heat to the airconditioning at the hospital where our grandson is.
The caravan is full of warm clothes as we expected the weather to be like Toowoomba at least. Toowoomba was 24 degrees yesterday and again today.

Well global warming did predict that northern parts of Australia would get wetter and that southern Australia would get drier , hang on to your warm clothes though Bonita cause Melbourne does have changeable weather usually and we are just dying for a cool change lol ...

Pretty much a continuation of February weather. Not unusual. You get used to it. At least the days are getting shorter.
