Jordan , i have a rose which i always though was Frau Dagmar , it was labeled Frau , it is a rugosa , has hips , but is a dark pink , don't know , doesn't really matter , but i think maybe not ..

Jordan have you found the flowers of Deep Secret blow quite quickly? How do you find the fragrance?

silky , the flowers off deep secret dont last too long on the bush unfortunatley . as far as the perfume goes . it does have a beautifull perfume . i gotta say if anyone likes a long lasting bloom on a bush or in a vase ( uncle walter ) outstanding rose it lasted on the bush almost 2 weeks . it has a tiny soft perfume but otherwise a very strong bloomer .

Jordan , how big are your pots and how long do you have them in pots for , and how often do you water them ? You do amaziling well for roses in pots , whats your secret Jordan lol !!!

maree no real secret here , i potted them up in good potting mix .. they get plenty of water .. and good feeding , my pots range from 32cm to 45 cm .. . i will repot every 2 years to bigger pots and fresh potting mix will do them a world of good .

What's your feeding routine jordan? I don't have any in pots at the moment but will do in my trials and I want them looking as good as yours.

i feed in spring after the first flush of blooms . then again in late december silky

But what do you give them to have them looking so good? Or is it a bit hush hush? Just tell me to pull my head in if you want.

lol its not a hush hush silky.. honest i guess i do maybe over spoil them. try some banana skin on ur roses silky (hint hint)

Banana skins are supposed to be good around Hoyas...

Funnily enough I put banana skins into the centre of my staghorn hanging basket, and it does wonders. It's now so big I have to get rid of it, too heavy for the beam. Last time it came down in a storm it took 2 strong men to lift it!

try it on ur roses , my roses love banana leaves
