Re: falstaff
How big are the buds Jordan? I have lots of problems with this one with growth and flower size. My colour is also different (but I suspect that's because I am in a hotter climate)

Re: falstaff
Mine would be around 10cm across. The stems are really twiggy and thin too. It's better this year but it just doesn't perform like the HT's

Dan, she is so lovely.
Rosy, Falstaff isn't a HT. It is one of DA's English roses.

Re: falstaff
I just love that colour Jordan but I believe it has an untidy growth habit, floppy canes and is prone to BS. Yours might be a bit young yet for that sort of feedback. Can anyone who has a more mature plant share their comments? Thanks.

Re: falstaff
thanks Jordan. Didn't realise yours was a grown up. Could you post a pic of the whole plant to give me an idea of it's general shape?

Carole - yes I know. I was comparing it to my HT's and just saying it's not as healthy as them
Jordan - I might move it into a pot next Winter if you seem to have more luck in a pot
Silkyfizz - The shape of mine is the same - Floppy canes. The canes are a little thicker since I cut it back but still some are too thin and twiggy
