Just a few hybrid teas like Fairytale Queen and Black Magic ( even though I've been told it won't do well in Brisbane, thought I would give it a go)that I can't get where I am. About an hours drive out of Brissy, just would be annoying having to drive out all that way for nothing..but then, I would have an excuse to go back out and get more roses...hmmmm

Re: Few Blooms
The Double Delight in the photo is a perfect example of a rose with a split centre which is a definite no no on the show bench. Another rose to suffer with split centres is Moonstone a rose that many consider the best exhibition bloom in Australia. Pink Kardinal which is a sport of Kardinal is also a rose that suffers with a disproporionate number of split centres.

Re: Few Blooms
Jordan, all beautiful, but I just love the look of Nahema. I think it looks a bit like Souvenir de la Malmaison, would you agree with that, if you ever had one?

nahema is a beautiful rose with a nice strong spicy scent.. as for sdlm another beautiful rose with a great perfume .. i do prefer the nahema perfume tho its little more fruity..
nahema can suffer little from blackspot tho.. but take care of her and she will produce beautiful blooms

Re: Few Blooms
Thanks Jordan, I thought I recognized SDLM right away when I saw your photo and was really surprised when you posted the name; AND then you said it was fragrant, so I had to consider Nahema. But if she has some bs problems, maybe I’ll stick just with her twin. … Ahhh, strong spicy scent? …. Hmm, maybe I’ll just have to grab her, if I happen to see her somewhere, cheers

Jordan, I trust you, you seem to pick the fragrant once, and therefore someone I keep my ears open for.

Re: Few Blooms
I was kidding!
She’s a very beautiful thing, and if I see her, will definitely make a dash for her. Just maybe not place her on one of my carefully planned orders (where I have no excuse).

I like Nahema too, the fragrance and the rose. It is a vigourous grower.

Re: Few Blooms
That’s it; I’m having one, little bs prone or not, I’m starting to feel more and more confident about my method of controlling it; Nahema’s on my proper order list.
