2010 Pollenations are now starting to flower.

Last year I changed my breeding programmes on a slightly different path, and now the results are comming in. Athough these seedling may be only 6-8 inches hich , the blooms produced are a good size and as they grow to a larger size the petallage will increase in some becomming more full.

The first one for this year is a (Altissimo X Perfume Delight) X Curly Pink

Some real beauties !

Here are two newies , out of the same hip, but showing comepletely different characteristics, the dark red has a huge petal count compared to the pink. The pics are not that flash, but its an idea whats going to happen down the track. The cross is Sympathie X Curly Pink. If you are wondering why I use Sympathie alot, it is healthy and gives good vigour to its off spring

Here are a couple of interesting crosses from the 2010 pollinations, these are their first blooms and due to the weather are a bit ratty. Finally bred my first mauve rose Baronne E D Rothscild X Charles De Gaulle.

Warren, 'Arjuna x Curly pink' is a good colour. Is BEDR X CDG, going to be a HT

Dave; the BEDR X CDG should be HT , it perfume is like CDG , pretty strong. Do not under estimate the BEDR x Old Port, its colour combo is very interesting to me at the moment and will look pretty good in another 6 mths.

How about you throw 'Jacaranda" over/under it, more perfume

These are three pretty babies ! The first one is nearly mauve too ?
Mauve is one of my favorite colours in roses and the first rose I fell in love with was Blue Moon. When I was in Tasmania for my first visit there in my early twenties.

Rosemeadow the first one when it gets older and by looking at this bloom, the colours will be very pale lilac petals with mauve on the edges.
