Using Charles Austin in a Breeding Programme
Charles Austin when crossed with modern's can give quite interesting results. Crossing with cupped moderns will give you structures similar to the OGR's types , and when crossed with exhibition style flowers , will tighten up the structure with extra petals.
The perfume of Charles Austin X with modern's is normally quite strong as well.
Here are a few pic's of Charles Austin X Moderns

Re: Using Charles Austin in a Breeding Programme
Did the budwood arrive yet? 'Ebb Tide' would be great with some of these. Picture a dark purple DA style flower.
Re: Using Charles Austin in a Breeding Programme
You would 'nt believe it , the bud wood arrived 2 days ago , have already budded , but this heat here is pretty high, 39.5 yesterday, just hope they will take. Dark purple Austin style would look good
