Old Blush Empty Old Blush

Post by IanM 2nd January 2011, 17:19

I cannot recall ever seeing my Old Blush with so many blossoms as it has this year. It must have responded to all the rain and didn't mind having wet feet for a while. During the drought it was a miserable little plant and I only ever saw a few flowers occasionally. This year it is never out of bloom and its growth has almost matched that of the HT's and Floribundas beside it! Also, the extra cloud cover this year means the flowers do not fade out as fast as in previous years. I should have caught it a few days ago, but still, it is looking good even now. Not a bad show for a little old China!! I have even chosen the close-up photo for my avatar. Smile

Old Blush Empty Re: Old Blush

Lots of pleasant surprises like your loving-it plant this year. Unfortunately lots of nasty ones too, from roses which ball in all this rain. Makes one value the simpler flowers.
