Rosa Anemonoeflora Empty Rosa Anemonoeflora

One of the old homesteads i do work for has a rose stuck down the back of the house, looking at the flower from HMF I think it might be Rosa Anemomoeflora. When i go back there next week i will have to look at the foliage, but looking at the flower i have this gut feeling. The other week i found the Dunwich rose stuck in this secluded corner of the garden.

Interesting that you've found the Dunwich rose. The NZers have become very interested in spins (spinosissimas / pimpinellifolias), as they find quite a few in old gardens. I don't think we've found any in SA, which is surprising, considering how hard they are to get rid of if you let them loose on their own roots. Survivors.

Howdy Margaret

Before I started working in this garden , I dont think this poor thing was watered for years , almost 10yrs of drought and it still survived, i really like its small foliage and perfect single flowers.

Looks like i spelt the above heading wrong it should be Rosa Anemoneflora
