identity problem

Hello rosebuds, i planted this as an Altissimo. It did flower true to that name (5-7 petals). Then it changed into a many petaled plant. I am fairly sure this is not an over growing root stock because the same large stems are still in place.. but open to suggestions... any thoughts? it gets 3/10 for perfume and is turning out to be quite valuable as is drought resistant  so i am not going to take it out, just want to fix a name for it but am at a loss with names when it comes to red flowered options. thanks in anticipation

The bloom looks similar to Paul's Scarlet but the thorns look too big...

interesting you should write that as I picked a photo out of a book for it that had that name.. i wonder?!
