thoughts on these roses

Hi all just wondering if anyone grows these few roses...... ian thorpe, new kleopatra, jardin de bagatelle, all hybrid teas and thoughts on them thanks.

The Jardin is one of our best performers. Log stem/ long lasting rose/ nice scent and good for the bench...

Lovely Neptune very classy rose.What's that rose in the the background the red and white one.

I grew New Kleopatra awhile back and I found it to be a vigorous grower and as healthy as a rose can be in the Sydney Basin. From an exhibiters' point of view although it has a high centre it is loose thus putting it behind the eight-ball as an exhibition class bloom. I would recommend this showy rose as a garden rose.

A rose that is of a similar colour and structure of New Kleopatra is New Era. New Era however develops a well formed centre thus better for exhibiting.

Love the sound of Jardins de Bagatelle, betswy.  Must look out for it and see if it copes with SE Qld climate.  Love to know more of it's history...were you referring to the perfume Jardins de Bagarelle by Guerlain, or the Parc de Bagatelle?  The spelling for this rose is slightly different in MistyD (noticed other typos in some rose names in their catalogue - understandable given the number of roses listed!). Do you have photos of it growing in your garden?

I've been curious about Jardins de Bagatelle too. The pictures of it all look so gorgeous (esp. yours, Neptune), and healthy, but I have also heard reports that it can ball in rainy weather. Has anyone else here had that problem?

I have just planted one and already the perfume is just lovely , don't know about balling in wet weather , but i reckon for me its perfumed so its a keeper ....

Rosebud, I'm absolutely sure that both the Meilland rose and the Guerlain perfume were named for the glorious Parc ;-)))

I don't have a current pic of JdB because I'm slack, but you can see a bloom peeping out of the top of my avatar, scrunched in with Valencias (scent hounds, lemme tell ya what a combination THAT is).
