Sight Saver rose
Anyone ever tried this rose? Yes, I know it's a baby pink :gag: but the perfume is reputed to be excellent honeysuckle, and the blurbs say it is a good cutting rose, good repeater and very healthy. (but they would, wouldn't they>) It's a Fryer rose. HMF doesn't ahve a whole lot of independent info on it.

Re: Sight Saver rose
Betsy, is that it's name or charity name. Have you looked at Fryer's site.
On HMF did you look at the comments and reference listings of it.

Re: Sight Saver rose
I have alreay checked , and couldn't find it on the Fryer's site.
Its formal name is Fryaffair,. In the USA it was called "The Oregonian", a promotional name marking the 150th anniversay of the eponymous Portland newspaper ( Hardly designed to catch on in the wider US)
Here, it's the rose that benefits charities like Fred Hollows, I understand, hence the name.

Best I can find is it is listed at Treloars, but might be discontinued because of it's age

Re: Sight Saver rose
lovely fragrant little rose bush from Gareth Fryer. nice and compact like many of his, but with good sized blooms. not attached with any charity.
