Aphids Take 2

OK SO .. FINALLY I DON'T HAVE 1 APHID!!!!! Not in the pots, not in the front yard, not in the top yard, not in the pool area - NONE. No caterpillars. Nothing!!!!!

Here's what I did. I put a couple of cap fulls of eucalyptus oil, and a couple of cap fulls of seasol (together) in my sprayer and sprayed once a week for the past few weeks.

No aphids or bugs (apart from the occasional grasshopper), no burnt leaves (which I got last year from white oil) and I can do it at the same time I spray the leaves with seasol.

My roses have never been healthier or happier, I am so very happy I didn't have to use chemicals. And I also quite like the scent of eucalyptus while I spray.

Any thoughts? Please tell me my oil is not bad LOL !!

I bet thats a relief Rosy , i gave up sqisshing them , and sprayed em with eco- neem oil , as this is ladybird safe , it seems to have them under control .....

That's the thing I am worried about it the lady birds and also bees. I hope the eucalyptus oil doesn't stop them. Where can I get neem oil? I know it's in my shampoo and conditioner haha

Sounds like a great solution Rosy. Were those amounts for 1L of water?

That's for 5L I put anywhere from 1-3 cap fulls of each to 5L.

Lol ha ha Rosy , in your shampoo and conditioner , fair dinckum , where'd you buy that from, the pet shop lol . ( sorry) . Seriously though you get Eco Neem oil from Bunnings and lots of places , its one of the Eco range of products , i'm not sure how it works , have to google it and have a look . You have to spray every 7-14 days ......

LOL ! It's called 'Uspa Uhaircare Neem Seed Deep Hydrating Conditioner'. The most amazing conditioner I have ever smelt and makes my hair really silky smooth.
