Hi Bruce
I hope to see you in the not to distant future and collect the Pink Angels. I was in your neck of the woods today dropping my nephew to Sydney Action Painball at Rouse Hill however I ran out of time and couldn't get done all the things I should have done. I did go to Swains and saw a number of roses on show in large potts. They were absolutely magnificent particularly Pope John Paul 11, Full Sail and My Hero. I'm predicting PJP11 will be the top exhibition bloom in NSW next season.

Well the first two of the Rose Society of NSW Regional Rose Show have been completed The Grand Champion Unit at the Hunter Valley was the magnificent floribunda Playboy which was shown by Alma Turnbull while at Macarthur the Grand Champion Unit went to Brass Band another floribunda and it was shown by Alwin Notley.

Mark McGuire moved back into the winners circle at the Sydney Regional Rose Society Rose Show held at Swanes winning the Grand Champion ribbon with three full blooms of Glorious.

Last Saturday and Sunday the Illawarra Regional Rose Society staged its annual regional show at the School of Arts Jamberoo. This show is the biggest of the regional shows and this year was the biggest Illawarra Regional Rose Show in recent years. The Grand Champion for this show was a magnificent unit of the floribunda Brass Band exhibited by NSW State President Glynis Hayne.

On display at the Illawarra Show was the biggest Moonstone I have ever seen. The coin in the photo is a dollar coin.
