Well, if anyone else did not get any of that rain, our airport got 35.6mls and they are only 4kms as the crow flys and we got 31mLs neat. I know the plants and the ground will appreciate it.

Re: rain has come
We had 38 mm on the 20th , fortunately no damaging winds this time . Some parts of the metro area were not so lucky.
Back in May 2005 we had rain and tornadoes , both up in and around Collie and down in Bunbury that did a lot of damage . That is compared to what is normal weather for W.A.
I have been watching news reports of the most recent tornadoes over in the U.S and know that for all the structural and $$$ damage done here, we escaped lightly ; no lives lost.
The worst thing that happened here was my Hills Hoist was laid over flat ; looked like a truck had backed over it , so okay I had to re-wash a few things.
Down in Bunbury it was different , there was a lot of damage.
We got a phonecall from Kevin's mum about midmorning asking if we could go down and collect some stuff from her freezer as she had no power.
Okay , not a problem.
That is till we get down to Bunbury and have to get through the police and Western Power road blocks and find that Nana and Pop are not all right and that there has been considerable damage to their house.
But as true auld stalwarts that had survived the Blitz in Britain as young 'uns , they reckoned that they'ed get over this'un too.
I have pics of it all that I have scanned into the 'puter , I just have to find them since I got my "new" old brain back.
I was a week off delivering our Mr Matthew, and no one would let me help in the clean up, all I was allowed to do was take pics , so take pics with the SLR I did .
I have just been looking through my "new" cleaned up files for the pix , I think it will be easier to rescan them . lol

The ground is lovely and moist here now and we have some more water in the tank, which was very low.
