Alya, Just to let you know that 'Admin' was the person which set up this site years ago and has moved on. You will find it in many of the older posts.
Regards David.

Thanks for letting me know David. Someone must be maintaining this site though. If the  person who somehow replaced the original admin was not handed all of the admin stuff then whoever is doing the maintenace/admin is doing very good job indeed.  I suspect there would be some difficulties in maintaining and sustaining the web site too. It is not an easy thing to do. What I gather is that you are the leader now. It is a real dedication and discipline. Well done and thank you. I suppose it is down to all of members - us-  to make sure the links are alive then the RoseTalk Australia web site will live on. I like the site. It is very friendly and not full of those very advanced specialised scientific talks that make me feel squezed and pushed away from my hobby and the lovely roses... What I worry about is that I do not want to put a link that was mentioned before.

Anyhow...

A very big thank you for this lovely RoseTalkAustralia.

Regards

Alya

Hi Alya,
I would just like to give you a very warm welcome to the forum. I know your roses are probably covered in snow ours are ( in central west NSW) suffering from the heat (30c +) and lack of water eg: no rain but before we know it your roses will be blooming in spring and ours will be going to sleep.

Hi Carole Hello Neptune Hello All,

You hit the spot it is all covered with snow here and very cold. Some roses are frozen but looking somehow good. I have been suffering from abscess unable to do much just waiting for the antibiotics to reduce the infection & imflammation so that I can have root canal treatment. Otherwise I would have gone out to the garden and take lots of pictures....

The snow came to us later than the rest of the UK. I am based in Bedfordshire near Aylesbury and Harkness Roses.  I hope when you guys and girls came to the UK we will meet and have visits to Royal Horticulture Society's gardens in Wisley in Surrey or the one in Harlow and or the gardens of our Rose Society in St Albans which is half an hour drive from us...

Somehow I forget to imagine that there would be snow in Australia. I always think of Australia as warm and always sunny hot Country.

Once my tooth settles I shall do better...

Lived here all my life and you know I have never actually seen snow.

When we have travelled about it has always been in summer.

Balinbear it must be very ineresting experience. Until the age of 20 I saw the snow on top of the mountains and never had to walk on it. Then went to the uni far away from home and had to learn the hard way to be able to balance myself standin uprigh and walking on the snow. So far I do not like it when I go out in the snow I like watching it from inside for tow days or so then mutter about how dirty it looks until it melts away. I am unable to comprehend people skiing in the snow in that cold!
