Beautiful flowers :)

'Cecile Brunner', both the bush form and the climbing form... (this is the climbing form) Are both growing strongly now and flowering their head's off. It's just the most beautiful rose.

This is 'Double Delight' and is a testament to the effect the wrong rootstock can have in the wrong place. The parent plant is grafted onto 'Dr Huey' and is a sad and sorry worthless runty plant here. I budded this one onto a multiflora rootstock and, well, the results speak for themself! This flower is easily 20cm across and the plant is growing strongly and (so far) cleanly.

'Christopher Marlowe' is flowering enmasse now. It has a lovely perfume.

A very common, but under-rated rose IMO; 'Lilli Marlene'. Has beautiful (but scentless) flowers on a strong low bush. One of my favourites.

'Vivid' is an old Bourbon. It makes a large lax shrub and is probably best trained as a climber on a pillar or a fence. Lovely hot pink

Dee, both my 'Leda' bushes are smothered in flowers now and have reached about 1m high and wide so far. You sure you don't want one back... I can't imagine being without it now

'Cricket' is a new mini for me. Totally recommend this little rose. It loves the heat!

'Anemone' has flowered well for the first time since planting it two years ago. Previous flowers have been small and borne very briefly in very small numbers.

Cecile Brunner Clg, definately one of the best climbers.

It gets black spot here but just drops the leaves and replaces then quickly without checking growth. Never without blooms except in winter.

I agree with you re Lili Marlene, a feisty little rose.
I wish my camera could reproduce the reds and purples like yours does, but that's an old subject.

Took a few more over the last weekend:

1. 'Hot Chocolate'... not overly impressed with this rose so far... growth started off strong... now tending to spot.



2. A new one for me; 'Route 66'. Awesome rose with deepest purple ever!



3. 'Maurice Utrillo'. All been said before! Great rose! Healthy rose! would never be without it now.



4. 'Henri Martin'. Moss with the most! Viciously thorny, lovely balsam fragrance to the moss. Photo turned out kinda weird... looks like I used the flash but I didn't



5. A Frank Benardella miniature; 'New Hampshire'. Nice flowers... ordinary bush.

I keep coming back to drool - stunning pictures Simon.

Wow! I like the yellow one.
I really love roses. I remember my first date with my husband.He gave a bunch of so beautiful yellow roses...so sweet!

Simon I love Rout 66 and New Hampshire! What variety of rose is Rout 66?

Jacky, be very selective when aquiring yellow roses for most are very unhealthy. clear medium Pinks are my favourites and seem to be one of the most healthy colours.

Jacky,as you love roses, do you any and if so could you tell us their names, if not which are the one's that you love to have, Regards David
