I hope my Peace rose grows up to look like this one which is in Gulgong.

Re: Peace
Thanks Simon. The township of Gulgong is way ahead of us too. Least we have still to enjoy them ! My Bourbon roses are looking very good with lots of fat buds. Most of them it is the first time they have bloomed.

Re: Peace
Peace roses like that are very rare, don't know if it's the clone or the area it grows in. The one I spotted in Woodstock was equal or bigger than yours at Gulgong.
Would be worthwhile getting some budwood from it particularly with all the unhealthy Peace roses we see these days.

Re: Peace
Bruce, do you want some budwood from the one at Gulgong and if so. do you want it when I come down in a week and a bit ? Its good to know that the one at Gulgong is thought of a good healthy one. This is the rose I might put onto the rootstock you gave me.

Any recommendations for a similar, but more dependable rose?

Re: Peace
Similar colouring to Fragrant Peace, HT, Fl or Grandiflora, very fragrant? Longer lasting than Fragrant Peace.
