Best pot size
Now my mini rose count is up to 3 , at the moment they are all in the pots they came from the garden centre in.
As I am planning on keeping them in pots, what size would you recommend, I bought a ceramic pot today from a garage sale ( bargain price $2 ) 13" wide and 12" deep. Would this be an ok size to plant into ? or should I go smaller ?
Thank you ohh wise ones

Re: Best pot size
Not only is the size important. Never use soil. Use potting mix with 1 river sand to 3 potting mix. Bruce Chapman told me buy cheap potting mix then add the extras yourself.

Alli, as you have a terracotta one at a great price, I would go with the same, but in plastic, unless you can find some more. There are good results with the plastic terracotta looking ones. Black has to many variances, hot/cold.

Seamungus, Blood & Bone and slow release fertiliser are the main ones. Do not use regular fertiliser until the roses are established and be careful of the amount.
