Earlier in the year the AQ received a letter indicating she won a trip to New Caledonia for two. My reaction was:- "if it sounds too good to be true it generally is"

The story goes something like this:- The AQ didn't throw the letter away as I had suggested and without going into all the details you can see the results. She won the cruise on a previous short cruise on P&O with the "girls" as part of a poker machine promotion by a company associated with the cruise line. This was a double barrelled win as she also came away with $2,500 she won while playing the machines. On the cruise we were VIPs this meant we had a top deck cabin with a balcony, all drinks in the casino room were free,we had a complimentary bottle of champagne in our cabin each night along with canapes and a bowl of fruit. As the man said there's more, all activities on the boat were free and last but not least we didn't have to line up with the other when leaving the ship. During the cruise the AQ played the poker machines and came away for the week $1,00 in front.
As we came down the gangplank I turned to the AQ and said,"?" (If anyone can guess what I said (8 words) I will send you a bare rooted 100 Not Out (Walsh) in June next year unfortunately WA excluded due to quarantine restrictions.
Last week we received another email from the same company saying the AQ had won another 10 day cruise under the same conditions. We were offered various cruises and we decided to go to the Great Barrier Reef in September.

Although not correct the answers are ingenious and I could easily have said anyone of them knowing my personality but sadly not.
A clue:- the main jist of my statement relates to my political persuasion and is a word in the statement. This can be found on Dr Google if you look up the result of the 1988 NSW state election seat of Mulgoa.
