I must say that Brass Band would be my most favorite rose at the minute, flowers are always consistent, last ages and ages on the bush and colour never really fades.

Gawd, that's one gorgeously healthy bloomifrous creature, Paul. I've looked at Brass Band often with a eye for getting it, but it doesn't have any scent - or does it?

Brass Band and Fleming Racecourse(Chapman)  are the two most successful floribundas on the show bench in NSW. The AQ won grand champion ribbon in the 20012 Illawarra Regional Rose Show with a vase of Brass Band.

Thanks Sue, BB is always a good performer, always prolific, the photo didn't really show the colours, so here's a close up.

Thanks Betsy, scent is the only downside, however the total package is a must rose to have. imo

A floribunda I rank in the same class as Brass Band is City of Goulburn. Named in honour of the city of Goulburn as the name implies the rose is a vigorous rose reasonably resistant to black spot and carries a huge number of blooms. Goulburn is the city of roses and beds of roses scattered throughout the city many of which contain the City of Goulburn. At the City of Goulburn rose show each year held in the Goulburn Soldiers Club hundreds of blooms of City of Goulburn are used to decorate the hall in which the show takes place. Held in th Autumn each year the date for next Autumn's show is  the 14th & 15th March.
The AQ and I judged a vase of City of Goulburn as grand champion of the Canberra Centenary Horticultural Rose Show.

Your Brass Band is a credit to you Paul, so beautiful. I saw BB at Werribee State Rose Garden where long rows of standards of BB flank the main path to the rotunda. They were in full flush and drop dead gorgeous. Pity about the lack of perfume. Good to know its staying power and health. This might be one to file away for the future.

Brass Band at Werribee. If you look closely you will see the blooms are just past their best.

John it was originally released by Swanes. Check with any of the WA nurseries that deal with Swanes.
