Re: After the rain
We got a little bit of rain last night, which I didn't hear, but my partner did. Also we had a tiny bit of rain the other night. It is so windy and cold here. My computer has been running on wind power since last night.

Re: After the rain
It's windy here too. Not very cold though. I had to water all my pots today - the wind dries them out quickly.

Re: After the rain
Has Val got any red rose Val grows BEAUTIFUL red roses Have you got a picture of 'Ebb Tide' to put up Val?
Re: After the rain
Yes Alee, I have red roses ! LOL
I don't post them very much because my camera can't do reds very well, and the exact shade and intensity gets " lost in the translation"
Here's a few anyway,

Re: After the rain
Very nice roses Val! Try taking the pictures in an overcast day or block the sunlight and shoot. I think you'll have better results. Good luck.

Oh yes!! It's a beauty
The Spring blooms are to die for, the next ones are more like a miniature, less intensely dark too, but pretty. I'm waiting to see if I get an Autumn flush
Plus it's fragrant too

Re: After the rain
Ebb Tide is a knockout colour I reckon Guess what I've ordered one for this winter along with Hot Chocolate and Jean Kenneally and the bush form of Cecile Brunner
Re: After the rain
Wow! I love that Ebb Tide too Val. How does it go for black spot? And does it smell nice?

Re: After the rain
Hot Choc in my garden grew about 4 ft tall and 3 ft wide. Dark shinny leaves were pretty. It got mildew in spring and blackspot in summer. The flower colour was an orange red, which quickly bleached out in the summer (did this make the breeder think of hot chocolate?). Repeat was pretty good.

Re: After the rain
Dee, ALL my roses get black spot!!! I don't think Ebb Tide was severely affected though. Yes, it's very fragrant
