Climbing rose mystery
Last year I didn't manage to get good photos of this "Not to Label" climber.
It appears to be a Hybrid Tea (?) and the blooms only last for an average length of time. Doesn't really have much in the way of thorns (small and infrequent).

Re: Climbing rose mystery
Here is a compiled photo of the thornless Zephirine Drouhin on my front verandah. It has a wonderful fragrance. Maybe we will need a petal count from the mystery rose as looking back on the photos of it i am not so sure now that they are one of the same![img][You must be registered and logged in to see this link.][/img]

Re: Climbing rose mystery
hariet~rose/Autumn(Wendy)Barbara B, I have a young Zephirine, so I am no help. I think we need old wood and new canes, same with leaves and thorns, as well as flower opening stages.

Re: Climbing rose mystery
I'm not convinced. The blooms on my rose are not that same, even shade of pink. I'd need to see pics of buds and leaves and stems ...

I have Mme in the garden as well. Her hips tell me that this one isn't the same....

Re: Climbing rose mystery
Would Bunnings carry roses such as Zepherine and Mme? I've never inventoried the Bunnings roses, but I would have thought they would be more given to buying job lots of more common and more modern varieties. Just sayin...

Re: Climbing rose mystery
? I didn't buy this rose from Bunnings.
I noticed some hips on it (no hips last year) and they are actually (small) pear shapes... I'll keep your suggestion in mind, Warren. Although I think I got a pretty good second flush last year (Mme G isn't so good on the repeat).
