It’s OK, Jordan, I believe he said that in one of his books, if you say you saw it; never mind which one …

Re: Can anybody identify this David Austin rose?
Guess what? I just got an e-mail response from the David Austin team in England.
They think my mystery rose is Jude the Obscure; NO WAY, but I’m pretty excited about getting a response from them, so far away.
Jude, I hear, does not show the same beautiful tinges of pink and yellow in cooler climates and the bloom form and size are pretty much identical to my mystery rose, too, so I get their conclusion.
Looks like I need to follow up with a couple more pictures.

Looking forward to seeing your pics, Jordan, we’ll compare colours in cooler and warmer climates; an apricot tinge sounds interesting … mine’s on the pink side.

Re: Can anybody identify this David Austin rose?
Richard is about 5 from the top. Good result. Any chance of sending me the email from yourself to them and the return one please Jac. the reason is I have kept all the correspondence from them to me over the years and I make a point of thanking them for there help.
I am not thread jacking as this is a David Austin thread. Years ago we had a member that had a rose and I sent photo over and they ID'd it. It was "The Dark Lady". If any of us ask the question in the right way we will always get an answer from someone

Re: Can anybody identify this David Austin rose?
I still have that DA link you started in my in-bock. I haven’t posted my new blooms yet, because they continue to change and early impressions were often misleading. E.g., I felt very sorry after saying JtO let her heads hang, when later blooms all sat up nice and straight, etc. I still intend to report on all my Austins, just not prematurely.
