Re: A Couple Of Photos
Yes, the Lavender Mist stood out for me, too. I like the colour, its soft and interesting. The colour in the last of the three pics reminds me a little of the young Hercules blooms.
Kronenbourg and BNip look just beautiful, but might be a bit too strong for my pastel palette.
If you like these intense pinks, are you sure you don’t want my In Appreciation?
I think it would fit in with these two, i.e., it wouldn’t take over among them the same way it does here among my softer Austins. It has a lighter reverse similar to Kronenbourg.

Re: A Couple Of Photos
If you really want to get rid of it lol
I wish I had something to swap you with, but I mainly have bright reds, pink and purple etc.
One of my pale pink bare rooted roses is opening up, hoping it will give me a bloom tomorrow for another photo.
I have started buying some pastels, but they haven't flowered yet

Re: A Couple Of Photos
Teesh don’t worry about swapping; I’d sooner see it go to somebody who loves it. It’s a stunning rose, really, anyone can see that, but it just doesn’t fit in here.
I was completely shocked when it first came out, because it overpowered everything left, right and center, but your photos show roses that are just as intense in hue and can take it on. Just bring a nice big pot; the roots were huge even when it arrived.
Yippee, it’s gone!

Gee, these pix are lovely, Teesh. I'm a Bauhaus Greige person that overcompensates by gravitating toward lurid vase plonks. Your collection is stunning.
Not too OT question I hope for Jac , since she is on this thread and so is her Treloars bonus In appreciation: Did Treloars actually tell you what your bonus rose was? I just received my order, and the Mystery Roses remain a mystery. No names on yellow tags, no extra swing tags included either. Nuthin'

Re: A Couple Of Photos
Thanks Betsy
And not to butt in.. But my 'free' roses from Treloar also had red tags along with the yellow. The yellow said the flower name and the red says 'free rose'. They may have been too busy to put them on? A bit slack.. I got 4 free ones (Ordered 12 so ended up with 16!) And two were the same - Skylark.

Re: A Couple Of Photos
Thanks for that info, Teesh. I have yellow tags that say Free Rose Treloar's selection. No names. And no red tags. At least I'll recognise In Appreciation if one of these ninja roses pops out a Day-Glo bloom

Re: A Couple Of Photos
Oh maybe it's the other way round then, that the yellow tag says 'free rose' and the red ones say the name. Sorry I wasn't sure. I hope you find out what they are, I know how frustrating it is to not know!!

Re: A Couple Of Photos
Found it, Teesh, thanks to you.Thw red tag waas laced deep within the roots cluster of the roses. Mystery Rose is
wait forit
wait for it'
wait for it
wait for it
Iceberg.
How anticlimatic is that? Will try to find it a new home with someone who really wants a scentless white for a garden creature.

Re: A Couple Of Photos
Betsy, I’ve tried everything to pull my mystery roses out of them before they arrived, from gentle nudging to asking directly and even making suggestions as to what they might be. If you’re thinking about it, don’t even try. Apparently they don’t know what they are until the day of dispatch, and it’s related to large orders being cancelled on short notice and having overstock ready to go at the time. They could be anything from groundcovers to climbers.
Iceberg: HA HA HA, that coupled with Hot Chocolate and Marilyn Monroe makes you one lucky winner. In my case (very early in the season), I did specify a strong preference for fragrance in that little comments box and they all have a reasonable to good fragrance, and overall, two out of three ain’t bad; and now with IA going somewhere where she fits in, it’s a perfect score, actually. I really do think when an order is placed makes a huge difference, that’s from personal experience.
I think the glowing ninja rose fits in quite well:
