Charlotte Graham produced a sport which is shown below. Growth is stronger ,very glossy and a lighter green. Bloom colour and structure is completely different.

"Mother Freedom" catches my eye and I bet Caroles when she see it.

When the bloom is in perfect form you can't beat it and it has a killer perfume as well. It is one of my favourites here at home.

A Better Tomorrow is totally bomb proof, it is one of the healthiest roses that I have bred, completely no BS PM nothing and its vigour and repeat bloom is awesome to boot.

Quick question. How does a rose sport and if it does how can you propagate it further keeping the characteristics of the sport?

You can grow them from cutting but because some sports can be more valuable than the original plant, budding is the best way. With the Charlotte Graham sport it is quite easy to see where it is in the shrub due to its reddish hue to the canes, it has greater vigour than Charlotte Graham as well.

I have a hunch that Wendy and its F1 and F2 offspring, give large numbers of varied offspring due to the jumping gene The Transposon.

The reason why I asked is our Mme Lambards are in flower at present and one branch on one of them has thrown a deep red flower. I will do a cutting from the branch and see what happens. It's up about 4 metres in the air so I doubt that it is rootstock (I think this one is cutting grown though it may be the original plant we purchased I can't remember).

Thanks Bri cal, they are all out of the one seed pod except for the last pale pink one which is a sport of Charlotte Graham the 4th one down.
