Laevigata is always first off the mark for me. mine has been coming out for about 10 days now but is still a way off it's main flush. The bees are enjoying it.[You must be registered and logged in to see this image.]

I have a couple of Fortuniana suckers that keep trying to eat me when I am trying to remove them off The Dark Lady and to my suprise they flowered this spring. Darned thing bit me again when I was trying to get a photo Tantrum [You must be registered and logged in to see this image.]

Hi Rosalie;

Friends of mine on a farm have a monster R. laevigata 20ft up an old dead gum tree, boy you should see it, absolutely a mass of white blooms. They also have this massive R. gigantea around this old shed in full bloom, it was the first time for me to see one of those in full bloom and of course got around 20 blooms for pollen collection. You don't really appreciate these single species untill you see a really big one in full bloom Eye Popper

And I didn't take my camera, always happens.

Several of mine really didn't completely stop flowering.
'Mme Alfred Carriere' was one of them.

Still a good month or two away from having flowres here... laevigata barely even has leaves here at the moment.
