She rarely sets any hips, but I've just found four, turning yellow. I've picked them, but what do I do with them now? Leave them on the potting bench and wait til next winter?

Stratify them now or sow them now!!! Are they big and rock-like, like gigantea? It could take them a while to germinate so I'd start as soon as I could. The 'Abraham Darby' x 'Comtesse de Labarthe' took two years to start germinating... a lot of Tea seeds seem to have equally long germination periods.

I'm glad you said that Simon. I have planted some sef pollinated 'Comtesse de Labarthe' and some 'Comtesse Riza de Parc' seed that I stratified for about 8 weeks. planted the seeds a few weeks ago and was going to through it all out if nothing happens in the next week or so. I'll leave it now and see what happens.

OK. I'll do that as soon as I get back from this mornings race:(

BTW Simon, I've got two seedlings from Anna Olivier X Graham Thomas just up. Germinated quickly:)
