Own root R.dupontii in the garden

Would it be a bad idea to plant a cutting grown plant of R. dupontii in with my DA's and Old Fashion/Heritages. The garden is only small. Will it grow out of control?

HMF states that dupontii will reach 3m x 3m if given room. You will need to give this one extra room. (Note: If you have already bought it and can't place it I will buy it off you ).

Such a shame I bought it about a year or so ago at an open garden. Ive recently potted it up into a 250mm pot i think from memory (not at home atm). If your in Lonnie any time soon Simon let me know and ill take it to work and you can pick it up if you like. Be nice to know its got the room to move. No need to buy it, you can have.

I don't know how it responds to pruning though. So long as you got it after it flowered you might be able to beat it into submission like I intend to do with my two laevigata. There's plenty of room for it to move here if worse comes to worse. How big a rose do you want in this area? I'll see what else I have here that I might be able to give you instead.

Our Fantin latour,, A stunning shrub,after 12 mths is about 6 feet by 6 feet and
still growing,so beware!

Henri Martin is also quite large. Mine reaches 6ft at least... sometimes more... in all direction each year and it is super thorny. Can be trained as a pillar rose or a climber.

Oh... Othello is also a very large bush but it will mainly grow straight up on long straight strong branches. Rebloom isn't great. Flowerd worth the wait IMO. Thorns are vicious, over-plentiful, and huge.
