Gosh Cheryl, they look healthy must really thrive on your roses
As you have so many perhaps they would be nice in a 'stir fry'

I reckon they are so full of rose juice maybe 'sweet and sour' would be better Carole

Cheryl, I get them here like that every spring and autumn . Have tried hosing them off which reduces their numbers but spraying with Lebaycid kills them all. Pestercides reduce ones immune system so be very careful.
There has been mention of the Predator Wasp on this forum. Look through previous posts for Cree's comments. You may not have these very small wasps in your area but they are very worthwhile contolling aphids.

bloody stir fry
and they are all gone, well 95% and the rest are dead we had rain last night which washed them away
