Nothing wrong with the photo's Gary. We have flowers to. We are supposed to be 22 days into Winter and only had one frost and that was early June. The thing I reckon is because of all the rain we have been having, the soils are still warm enough to promote growth/flowering.

Yes we have had something like 20inches since the start of may. Had more or less nothing at all during summer.

Something to provide a bit of winter cheer. Lee picked these yesterday morning:

It's been cold in the morning but nice and warm during the days. It was 4 degrees this morning (which is cold for here) but by 8:30 I had my jumper off (I was playing golf in the sun) but needed it back on by 3 this arvo.

Our difference is that we have had minus numbers till 9AM then warm days till 3PM. Two fires going for 3 months so far.

Great photos, Balinbear. A little envious I think! We've had extremely dry weather (certainly not the 20 inches you've had) and so the roses are suffering in the warmer winter. Normally, we'd have minus 0 temperatures quite a bit by now but only two frosts this winter!

The twenty inches was last year (the post was June 2016). We managed to get about 40mm in August from a couple of storms and a few droops the other night. Not much else though.

Gary, have you had any rain in recent months, we have had a total of 6mL in three months.

Ooops - my mistake Gary! Didn't read the year!!
We've had very little rain with far less than our usual quota. Our neighbour who keeps reliable rain records (well more reliable than ours at least) said we've only had half annual rainfall and most of that over one day! Little to no rainfall over last several months and already hand watering the roses as ground is dust dry. Hoping the dam doesn't run out before we get good rain!!!
